is the Fender deluxe strat a good guitar ? (made in usa)

im looking to buy a new guitar and ive narrowed it down to either the lespaul studio (gibson) or the strat deluxe…i know their completely different guitars….but its hard to pick cuz i love the fender neck i feel more comfortable in my hands and it sounds really great…but i just LOVE the mean deep sound of the les paul and i also love slash and jimi page…so its to pick between feel and sound UGH!!

There is much debate as to which is a better guitar. If you look at the majority of top name electric guitar players, they tend to lean towards the Fender® Stratocaster. There are however many well knowns that use the Gibson®. In the end it is really a matter of personal preference. The neck, as you mentioned, in my opinion is much better on the Fender®. I also prefer the sound of the Stratocaster to that of the Les Paul. But then again, I play a 1961 Fender® Stratcaster and wouldn’t play any thing else if I could help it

I agree with the previously mentioned idea that you go to a few stores and play as many instruments as you can and make your own decision. Ultimately, it is your personal preference that really matters. Good luck.
