what is the difference between a classical style guitar and a regular acoustic guitar?
i was recently asked why i had steel strings on my classical style guitar. what is the difference in the shape and sound of a classical style guitar and regular one, other than the strings…?
A lot of it is because of the strings. Since you use LOW tension strings (nylon) for the guitar, it can be built out of lighter wood, and there is no need for a truss rod. The fingerboard is also flat without any inlays.
