I wanna remove the paint off my guitar neck?

Like I said in the title, I wanna remove the paint off my guitar neck. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Special with a bolt on neck, but its a painted neck. I would like to have a natural or satin finsh on it. I know its a rosewood fingerboard but I’m not sure what the neck wood is (my guess is maple), so I think I would need to finish it in something afterword. So my question is, should I sand oof the neck paint and if I should what do I finish it in afterword.

Buy a paint stripper, Nitromors is good. Brush it on and the paint will look like it is boiling. Wipe it off with tissue paper. Be very careful, whatever it touches will get the same result so mask off the rest of your axe with tape. A very light sanding with the smoothest sandpaper will remove any little bits (you may not see them but if you can feel them get em off). Now you can see the bare wood you can decide on a varnish or a new coat of paint.
